Today we did a recce of the upcoming ACC route in Putrajaya. Not that I'll be racing in the ACC, but for Ryan and Travis. Ryan will be representing Singapore in the Junior Championships while Travis will be doing the U23 ITT and road race. This morning my alarm rang twice but I could not wake up as I was too tired. In the end Fairoz had to knock on our door before I could jump out of my bed! Ryan and I took 15mins to ash up and change into our cycling attire before heading down just in time to move off. We rode 15km to Umair's place to link up with the rest before proceeding to Putrajaya 20km away from his place. The whole route was full of climbs and rolling hills. I can see everyone was feeling the fatigue after 1 week of hard training and traveling. I was suffering in silence too, from the fatigue as well as missing my morning breakfast and coffee!! When we reached Putrajaya, I was amazed at the beautiful city of high rise buildings and clean environment. There were only a handful of cars on the road. Very peaceful for riding indeed. Putrajaya was supposed to be a government estate and a lot of money was spent (or rather wasted) in it. We linked up with the Malaysian National team and rode with them for awhile before they broke off. Only Fauzan (not sure if i spelled correctly), Malaysian elite time trialist, carried on with us and showed us the route for the ACC. After one round, we rode steadily back to Umair's place and load our bikes up the van, and then drove to our hotel to bathe and check out.
When we arrived back in Melaka, it was already evening and Ryan's parents had came. We got back the same room in Mimosa hotel as before and rested for awhile before going out with Ryan's parents for dinner at a Peranakan restaurant called Makko. I think it was better than the first one Uncle Robin had brought us to. The keropok was also better. Ryan's mom bought a packet back to Singapore. I wanted to buy one back for mom but thought it will be too troublesome. We went for massage AGAIN after dinner. I think in a short span of 11 days i had gone for 4 massages! After massage Ryan's parents wanted to walk around so Ryan and I walked back to our hotel and rested..
