Happiness is like peeing in the pants.

Following my best friend's blog post on happiness, http://johananchoo.wordpress.com/2013/05/22/surprise-experience/, I've decided to post one myself too.

Last Saturday, I celebrated my 25th birthday. (Yup that's right! I'm 25 already................) Oh how time flies when you're in university. Anyway, it was one of the best birthdays I've had!

The day started at 4.30am when I finally managed to drag myself out for a ride (after agreeing with Adrian my ex-coach the night before). And boy I definitely didn't regret going out for a ride! I got reminded of how great it feels on the bike. Love the morning air and wind hitting my face, the feeling and sound when the tires roll on the tarmac. Got to meet some of my old friends and team mates at Longhouse, and also made some new friends along the way. Though I got dropped before reaching Coastal, the feeling of pushing myself to the limits was just awesome! We regrouped and chatted a bit before heading to a Cafe for a cup of morning coffee. :-)

Then, I had to rush home for a quick bath before heading out to meet Johanan, Phaykey and Kuanyee for our food hunt expedition! We shared jokes and had plenty of fun along the way as I was busy being the best chauffeur in town, they must agree. And though our time was limited, we managed to visit some of the best local food stalls in our opinion (pictures below). We even managed to squeeze in an impromptu beach walk and photo session. And of course, not forgetting the "surprise" birthday celebration. ;-)

Time really flies when you're having fun! It was already 6.30pm and I had to rush to meet my cousin for our concert at 8pm. I was looking forward to it as the guys playing were my childhood heroes. Their songs accompanied me through my secondary and JC days. And to top that off, they played many of their old songs which were in my playlist. And after the concert, I had one of the best birthday gifts ever - when my cousin snatched one of the guitar picks that was used by Quinn Cody Allman (guitarist) from the security personal and gave it to me. Thanks Damian and The Used! :-)

Finally, we went back to my uncle's house which my uncle had prepared birthday cakes for my sister, my cousin and me. This was also the first time all three of us were celebrating our birthdays at 3 separate places (UK, Hong Kong and Singapore). But thanks to that, I could have all the cakes to myself! Finally, what better way to end the day than to flush down all the nice food from the day with a can of ice cold beer! :-)))

It was a fun filled day well spent doing what I love doing and sharing those special moments with my best friends and loved ones. Now on the title of my blog post, happiness is like peeing in the pants because everyone can see it, but only you can feel it for yourself...
